Who is Whitney and what happened to Victor?

Victor Jernigan has been a very generous mentor and excellent leader since I joined the Knox REIA in 2013. He decided to “retire”, travel and invest in real estate.

I made him an offer to buy the Knox REIA in September and he accepted. (He even considered my creative financing offer but ultimately decided on a cash offer.)

Victor and Beth Jernigan met my Mom (Kathy), my bookkeeper (Lindsey) and I at the Gourmet Market in West Hills for breakfast on October 23, 2019.

After a delicious carb-y breakfast, we signed the paperwork to officially transfer ownership and the role of Knox REIA President to me.

That’s it. No drama. No problems. Nothing exciting. Paperwork. Sign here. Date there. Thanks for everything!

We “closed” on October 23, 2019 and made our first public announcement on November 8, 2019 at She Buys It LIVE.

The following Tuesday we made a similar announcement to the Knox REIA members.

We live in EAST Knoxville on the Holston River. It’s beautiful. Please don’t tell West Knoxville people that the world doesn’t drop off at Papermill. 😉

As of March 2020, I have 15 single family houses on Lease Options/ Owner Financing with my brother. I am holding 19 apartment units in 3 complexes with my husband. I’ve wholesaled, bought, assigned, flipped and flopped since 2013. I focus on investing off Rutledge Pike, Jefferson County and Morristown.

My first “successful” deal was a piece of Industrial land that my brother and I bought for $1,500 in 2013 and we rent it for $750 per month. #iloverealestate #cashflow #mailboxmoney

I have 5 companies that demand my attention everyday including a dump truck company that I started in 2018 to fulfill TDOT jobs for woman owned companies. Before real estate took over my life, I worked at my mom’s 4 dump truck companies. Her family has owned and operated a local dump truck company since 1939- Walker’s Truck Contractors.
